Emerson and SophieEmerson held his side and stumbled into the wall. He hit with a soft thud and slid down to his knees. The rain pounded hard around him but he could still hear the sound of someone approaching him. His black cat ears twitched at the noise and his instincts told him to run but his side told him that he had lost to much blood. He fell forward catching himself by his hands. He could almost feel the broken glass digging into his soft hands and cutting his skin but the knife wound in his side was making all other pain seem like a tickle. He coughed hard and saw the dark splatter of blood on the wet ground under him. "What a sad state you're in now huh Emerson?" Shepherd said in a mocking tone. He wasn't in the mood for the human's tormenting. He could feel his tail being grabbed and pulled and he half screamed and hissed as he was pulled back a foot or so by his sensitive appendage. When the prick finally let go Emerson lay flat on the ground feeling the ice cold water seeping into his cloth
for AdamScratching the under chin of his pet cat, King Emerson sat in the huge armchair in his bedroom, awaiting the arrival of the Bear Princess. She was a person with a heart of kindness and affection. Tall, graceful and loved by her people, Princess Sophie of the Bear was to be married to him to bring peace and prosperity to both countries. The grandfather clock down the hall chimed loudly and soon, thunderous hoof beats clattered loudly outside. Emerson jumped to his feet, intent on making a good first impression on the Princess, hurried down the stairs leaving his servants in the trial of his dust. He flung the giant door open, his cat ears on alert, his excitement only visible through his swishing tail.
"Princess Sophie?" Emerson looked at the woman before him. She looks quite different from the paintings... his cat ears perked in alert.
"Ah, my apologies King Emerson. Princess wanted to explore the city and..." the woman, face red, bowed low, deeply ashamed and embarrassed.
